Darwin Online provides c.3,000 works by other authors, including Darwin's sources, the largest collection of reviews of any scientist in history, the entire Beagle library, a complete collection of published descriptions of his specimens, the largest collection of obituaries and recollections of Darwin ever compiled and most of the classic secondary literature on Darwin - altogether hundreds of previously unrecorded or unknown items that provide unique information about Darwin and his context.
